2º Write the following information in your notebook:


THE MOON

  •   The Moon is the only natural satellite of Earth.
  •     It´s smaller than the Earth (4 times)
  •     We can see it because it reflects the light from the Sun.
  •     The Moon has not atmosphere.
  •     If we use a telescope we can see waters and seas.
  •     It takes 27 days for the Moon to orbit Earth.

 

THE MOON´S PHASES

  • ØThere are eight Moon phases, or shapes:


🌑 New: The Moon is not iluminated.

🌒 Waxing Crescent: It looks like letter D.

🌓 First Quarter: The first quarter phase is like as a half moon.

🌔Waxing Gibbous: The waxing gibbous phase is between a half moon and full moon.

🌕 Full: It is completely illuminated.

🌖Waning Gibbous: The waning gibbous phase is between a half moon and full moon.

🌗 Third Quarter: The third quarter moon is as a half moon.

🌘 Waning Crescent: It looks like letter C.
